Oolio Giving allows you to turn simple everyday moments into something bigger - into an act of kindness.

We’ve teamed up with Peter Mac, Australia’s leading cancer research and treatment centre, to make it easy for venues and their customers to have an impact on their community. 


Because when hospitality gets behind something good, it’s powerful. A few dollars, across thousands of venues, can help make a real difference for people facing cancer every day.

How it works?

When a payment is made, your customer can choose to add a donation at the end of the transaction. The donation will go directly and 100% to Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation - without any deductions or fees to the venue.

A simple way for your customers to donate to Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation when they pay in-store. 

No, there is no additional costs involved for venues. Donations are separate from your sales and are directly sent to Peter Maccallum Cancer Foundation.

We’re proud to partner exclusively with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, one of Australia’s leading cancer research and treatment organisations. This focus ensures maximum impact for a cause that truly matters.

At this time, we only support Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, but we will let you know when we have other options available. 

Yes! You’ll have full visibility of your impact through a dedicated Donations Dashboard in your Oolio Merchant Portal, showing the total funds raised by your venue.

Any venue using Oolio Pay via our Global Acquirer can sign up for Oolio Giving. If you’re not sure which acquirer you are with - reach out to our team and we will help you sign up Oolio Giving.

No. The donation prompt appears only after the main payment is complete. This extra step is quick and completely optional - customers can simply skip or accept it. If no action is taken, the prompt will automatically close within 10 seconds, and the payment will finish as normal.

You can choose between a few options of fixed donation amounts (e.g. $2, $5, $10) or round-up donation (round to nearest dollar) on a venue level. 

At this time, it is in-store only. 

There will be no change to your settlements.  Donations go directly and 100% to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation's bank account. You won’t need to manage the transfer, and your reporting is unaffected, it remains exactly the same.

Yes. Donations are treated as a separate transaction. Your customer’s statement will show the original sale purchase with the venue details and a separate line item for the donation.

Donations are treated as separate transactions, and can't be refunded from the system. 

If a customer requests a refund for a donation, simply contact our support team at support.pay@oolio.com, and we’ll assist you promptly.

No, everything will be same as it is now for your venue, reports and settlements will reflect your actual sales.

Yes. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. The ATO accepts your bank statement showing the donation transaction as proof for your claim.

Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is internationally recognised for helping to lead the search for cancer cures, and is Australia's only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. Peter Mac Cancer Foundatoin supports this vital work by funding new research opportunities, and providing researchers with access to the specialised resources they need to discover cures for cancer.
